Margrét Rögnvaldsdóttir fæddist í Winnipeg 13. júlí, 1906. Ógift og barnlaus. Margrét var dóttir Rögnvaldar Péturssonar, prests og konu hans, Hólmfríðar Jónasdóttur í Winnipeg. Þar ólst hún upp og kaus að feta menntaveginn. Að loknu B.A. prófi frá Manitobaháskóla árið 1927 vann hún skrifstofustörf hjá ýmsum fyrirtækjum. Hún tilheyrði Unitarakirkjunni í Winnipeg og vann drjúgt starf í hennar þágu alla …
