Kristín Sigurðardóttir fæddist í Ísafjarðarsýslu 28. september, 1866. Maki: 29. desember, 1887 Pétur Sigurðsson f. 22. febrúar, 1852. Börn: 1. Sigurlína f. 20. september, 1888 2. Sigurður f. 27. maí, 1890. Kristín fór vestur til Winnipeg árið 1901 með Sigurlínu, samferða móður sinni, Húnbjörgu Guðmundsdóttur. Pétur fór þangað ári síðar með Sigurð litla.
