 Þorbjörg Gísladóttir fæddist 17. janúar, 1862 í Dalasýslu.  Dáin 1893 í Geysisbyggð í Manitoba. Maki: 1891 Magnús Jónsson f. í Dalasýslu 19. júní, 1866. Dáinn 5. apríl, 1937. Tók nafnið Mýrdal. Börn: 1. Jóhanna Þorbjörg. Magnús og Þorbjörg fluttu vestur 1889 og settust að í Nýja Íslandi.
