Hólmkell Jósefsson: Fæddur í Axarfirði í N. Þingeyjarsýslu árið 1859. Maki: Margrét Ísleifsdóttir f.  að Neðri Glerá í Eyjafjarðarsýslu árið 1881. Börn: 1. Björnína Sumarrós 2. Clara Jósefína Málmfríður 3. Laufey Petrína 4. Júlía Magdalena 5. Oscar Hólmkell fór vestur með föður sínum og bræðrum 1878 og tók land í Argylebyggð 1883.
