Teitur Teitsson fæddist í Árnessýslu árið 1835. Maki: Hólmfríður Vernharðsdóttir f. 1837 í Árnessýslu. Börn: 1. Sigurður f. 1866 2. Elís f. 1871. Þau fluttu vestur til Milwaukee í Wisconsin árið 1873 og settust að á Washingtoneyju. Fluttu þaðan til Manitoba árið 1887.
