Sigríður Runólfsdóttir fæddist árið 1839 í S. Múlasýslu. Maki: Gunnlaugur Jónsson f. árið 1850 í N. Múlasýslu. Börn: 1. Jón f. 1874 2. Pétur f. 1876 3. Ólafur f. 1877 4. Sigríður f. 1878. Þau fluttu vestur til Winnipeg í Manitoba árið 1883 og fóru þaðan strax í Fjallabyggð í N. Dakota.
