Guðmundur Sigurðsson fæddist í N. Múlasýslu árið 1882. Skrifaði sig Berg vestra Maki: Guðbjörg Eyjólfsdóttir f. 1876 í N. Múlasýslu, d. 1956 í Winnipeg. Börn: 1. Jón Eyjólfur 2. Pálmi 3. Kristján 4. Þorsteinn 5. Ágúst. Þau fluttu vestur til Winnipeg í Manitoba árið 1904 og settust að í Ísafoldarbyggð í Nýja Íslandi. Seinna bjuggu þau einhvern tíma í Hnausabyggð …
