Ísleifur Sigurðsson fæddist 10. desember, 1842 í Rangárvallasýslu. Maki: 9. maí, 1873 Guðrún Gunnarsdóttir, d. 20. ágúst, 1875. Barnlaus. Ísleifur flutti vestur árið 1886 og fór til Winnipeg. Hann fór þaðan í Dieter hrepp í Roseau sýslu í Minnesota þar sem hann var skráður ekkill árið 1900.
