Þórunn Jónsdóttir var fædd í Skagafjarðarsýslu 19. desember, 1833. Dáin í Argylebyggð 5. desember, 1906. Börn: 1. Stefán Kristjánsson f. 16. febrúar, 1865 2. Guðbjörg Kristjánsdóttir f. 1872. Þórunn fór vestur til Winnipeg í Manitoba með börn sín árið 1876. Þau voru fyrstu árin í Nýja Íslandi en settust að í Argylebyggð árið 1883.
