Guðný Árnadóttir fæddist í S. Þingeyjarsýslu árið 1830. Maki: Sigurður Sigurðsson, dó á Íslandi. Börn: 1. Sigurður f. 1858. Guðný fór ekkja með Sigurð, son sinn vestur til Ontario í Kanada. Þau voru fyrst í Kinmount.
