María Haukdal Ágústa Ísleifsdóttir fæddist í Rangárvallasýslu 25. ágúst, 1851. Ógift og barnlaus. Tók trú Mormóna 28. júní, 1883 og flutti vestur til Utah árið 1886. Hún sneri aftur til Íslands og var búsett í Reykjavík árið 1910.
