Bjarni Magnússon fæddist í A. Skaftafellssýslu árið 1855. Maki: Guðný Eyjólfsdóttir f. 1850 í A. Skaftafellssýslu. Barnlaus. Guðný fór vestur til Winnipeg í Manitoba árið 1887 og Bjarni ári síðar. Þau fluttu í Lundarbyggð árið 1892.
