Jón Friðriksson fæddist í N. Múlasýslu árið 1863. Maki: Una Jónsdóttir f. 1867 í N. Múlasýslu. Börn: 1. Guðrún f. 1888 2. Jónína f. 1902 3. María f. 1904. Þau fluttu vestur til Winnipeg í Manitoba árið 1905 og settust að í Lundarbyggð. Jón dó þar í byggð og flutti Guðrún þá til Winnipeg.
