Ólafur Loftsson fæddist árið 1862 í Borgarfjarðarsýslu. Dáinn í Churchbridge í Saskatchewan 11. september, 1915. Maki: Anna Þórunn Hjálmarsdóttir f. 10. september, 1865 í N. Múlasýslu. Börn: Hjálmar f. 9. mars, 1887 Ólafur fór vestur til Winnipeg í Manitoba og þaðan í Churchbridge í Þingvallabyggð. Anna kom vestur árið 1906, sama ár og Hjálmar. Þau fóru til Churchbridge.
