Björgvin Guðmundsson was born in the Lundar settlement on July 28, 1894. He died there on April 20, 1956.
Spouse: February 23, 1923 Rannveig Dorothea Björnsdóttir b. in the Shoal Lake settlement (Grunnavatnsbyggð) in Manitoba on September 13, 1891.

Björgvin was the son of Guðmundur Guðmundsson and Mekkín Jónsdóttir, pioneer settlers in the Swan Lake settlement (Álftavatnsbyggð) in Manitoba in 1894. Rannveig was the daughter of Björn Þorsteinsson and Þuríður Hjálmsdóttir who came west in 1887. Björgvin was a farmer in the Lundar settlement on a farm named Borg.
