Guðrún Margrét Ingjaldsdóttir was born on October 30, 1877 in Húnavatnssýsla.
Spouse: 1902 Þorgeir Símonarson b. August 1, 1864 in Árnessýsla, d. in Birch Bay, Washington on October 24, 1936.
Children: 1. Árni 2. Sigrún 3. Einar 4. boy d. at 13 years.
Guðrún came to the west with her mother, Þóra Kristófersdóttir, and siblings in 1888. They traveled to Winnipeg where Guðrún’s father was waiting for them. Þorgeir came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1886 and lived there three years. He moved west to the Pacific Ocean in 1889 but returned to Manitoba. Þorgeir took land in Big Point and was one of the first settlers there, but farming did not suit him. From there, in the spring of 1895, he moved west to the Pacific Ocean and settled in Seattle. Guðrún and Þorgeir settled in Blaine, Washington in 1904.
