They came west to N. Dakota in 1893 and lived a year in Mountain. They moved from there to Manitoba and tok land on the peninsula on the northern side of Lake Manitoba, which Jörundur named Siglunes. A small Icelandic settlement gradually formed there. Jörundur later moved west to the Pacific Ocean and settled in Blaine, Washington and from there went east to Alberta and settled in Athabaska Landing where he died.
