Þorbjörg Sveinsdóttir was born in Borgarfjarðarsýsla on April 13, 1850. She died in the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð) on March 6, 1930. She took the name Thorbjorg Sveinson in the west.
Spouse: 1) Stefán Teitsson b. 1842, d. 1885 2) 1891 Jón Guðmundsson b. 1845. (Goodman) 3) Páll Eyjólfsson b. November 16, 1858, d. December 6, 1923.
Children: With Stefán: 1. Guðrún b. 1879 2. Helga b. October 7, 1882, d. August 4, 1963. With Jón: 1. Stefán (Stephan) b. 1892 2. Sveinbjörn b. 1895.
Þorbjörg came west as a widow with her daughters in 1887. She settled in Milton, N. Dakota and there she married Jón Guðmundsson Goodman. They lived there for some time, then move to the Lakes settlement in 1905.
