From there they moved to Blaine, Washington. Hermann was the son of Björn Björnsson and Guðný Vilhelmína Einarsdóttir who came west in 1883 and took land in the Argyle settlement in Manitoba which they named Grashóll. Hermann was an employee in factories that worked on the production of industrial products.
