Friðrik Lúðvík Kristjánsson was born in S. Múlasýsla on May 8, 1887. He died in Winnipeg on October 5, 1958.

Friðrik came to Manitoba in 1903 and went to his uncle, Árni Sveinsson in the Argyle settlement. After a few years he moved to Winnipeg and learned the trade of a bricklayer. He lived there after that and was active in the social affairs of his countrymen in the city. Gestný came to Winnipeg in 1910.
