Finnbogi Guðmundsson was born in S. Múlasýsla on October 17, 1870. He died in the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan on February 4, 1958.
Spouse: October 22, 1894 Guðrún Einarsdóttir b. in S. Múlasýsla on March 18, 1877.

Finnbogi came to the West in 1887 with his parents, Guðmundur Finnbogason and Guðlaug Eiríksdóttir. Guðrún arrived the same year with her parents, Einar Eiríksson and Helga Marteinsdóttir. Finnbogi and Guðrún first lived in the Akra settlement but left in 1917 and moved to the Lakes settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan. They lived near Mozart.
