Sigríður Helga Kristinsdóttir was born in Garðar, N. Dakota on September 22, 1903.
Spouse: August 21, 1925 Aðalsteinn Sigurjón Ísaksson b. Mountain, N. Dakota on October 28, 1898, d. at Betel in Gimli on April 21, 1987. He took his father’s last name Jónsson in the west.
Children: 1. Kristín Dorothy b. April 16, 1926 2. Victor Ingiberg b. April 6, 1927 3. Louis Aðalsteinn b. April 5, 1934.
Aðalsteinn was the son of Ísak Jónsson and Ingibjörg Benediktsdóttir, early settlers in the Framnes settlement in 1901. Sigríður Helga’s parents were Kristinn Frímann Kristinsson and Kristín Ingveldur Hallgrímsdóttir.
Aðalsteinn grew up in N.Dakota with his parents and moved with them to the Framnes settlement in New Iceland in 1901. He was in the Canadian Army 1916-1919 in France and became a farmer in New Iceland when he returned home.
