He was in business with his father in Mountain but moved west to Seattle in 1938. Anna was the daughter of Guðmundur Jónsson and Rósa Jóhannesdóttir from Skagafjörður. They lived in Reykjavík in 1910. Anna’s date of departure to the West is uncertain.
