Benedikt and Ingibjörg came west in 1900 and first lived in Framnes in Geysir Settlement. They then took land in the Framnes – Árdals Settlement, where they lived until Ingibjörg’s death.
Benedikt wed Guðrún and lived in the Framnes Settlement, but then Benedikt went west to the Pacific coast for fishing. He then moved to Markerville, Alberta in 1915. Guðrún joined him there with their two children.
