Sigmundur Guðmundsson: Born in N. Múlasýsla in 1871. Died April 18, 1927.
Spouse: 1) Aðalbjörg Jónsdóttir b. 1850 in the same sýsla. Died March 10, 1910. 2) Guðrún Guðmundsdóttir. Died July 30, 1970.
Childless. Gudrun had children from a previous marriage to Einar Jónsson from Holti in W. Skaftafellssýsla. When she came west, Einar b. 1900 and Guðmundur b. 1895, came with her. Later Elín b. 1898, Jóhann b. 1900 and Mary b. 1902 joined her.
Sigmundur and Aðalbjörg came west in 1903 and went directly to the Framnes Settlement. They lived there until Aðalbjörg died on March 10, 1910. Guðrún, a widow with two children, had been a housekeeper for Sigmund for a few years. Sigmund sold the land and moved to Winnipeg and Gudrun went with him.
