Sigurður came west with his parents to Hallson, N. Dakota in 1883. They then moved to Roseau, Minnesota. In 1903 they moved to Leslie, Saskatchewan.
Guðrún also came west with her parents in 1887. Sigurður and Guðrún lived in Kristnes, Saskatchewan until 1922 when they moved to the Árdals- Framnes Settlement. They lived there until 1939 when they moved to Vancouver.
