Jón Friðfinnsson: Born August 16, 1865 at Þorvaldsstöðum in Breiðdal in S. Múlasýsla. He died on December 16, 1936 in Winnipeg.

Jón came west with his parents in 1876. He lived with them in New Iceland and moved with them to the Argyle Settlement in 1882. He homesteaded in the Argyle Settlement in 1886. Jón and Anna moved to Winnipeg in 1903.
