Jón came to the Argyle Settlement in 1890. He worked with other farmers for the first few years before buying his own land. Aðalheiður came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1902. They moved from the Argyle Settlement and went west to Peace River, Alberta where they lived a long time.
