Magnús Teitsson: Born in Helgafellssveit in Snæfellsnessýsla in 1869. He used the last name Tait in the west. He died in 1936.
Spouse: 1894 Þórunn Einarsdóttir b. 1874 in Eyjafjarðarsýsla. She was the daughter of Einar Jóhannesson and Guðrún Abrahamsdóttir. She died in 1944.

Magnús was 14 years old when he came west with his cousins in 1883. He lived in Winnipeg the first few years before moving to the Argyle Settlement and buying land with Stefán Árnason of Eyjafjarðarsýsla. Magnús later sold his share and moved to Sinclair in western Manitoba. They moved to Vancouver in 1934 where he died.
