Rannveig Sveinbjörnsdóttir was born in N. Múlasýsla in 1836. She died in Winnipeg on September 9, 1922.
Partner: Einar Guðmundsson born on July 17, 1834 in N. Þingeyjarsýsla, d. in Winnipeg on October 15, 1906.
Children: 1. Karl b. 1871, twin 2. Albína b. 1871 d. of smallpox 1876 3. Tryggvi b. 1874, d. 1877. Rannveig had children with her first husband: 1. Jónas Brynjólfsson b. 1859 2. Brynjólfína Brynjólfsdóttir b. 1863.
They emigrated west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1876 and settled in the Árnes Settlement in New Iceland. They took land south of Gimli and named their farm Engimýri. They moved after two years to Mikley where they took land and named it Fagratún. They moved in 1882 to Winnipeg.
