Jónas Jóhannesson: Born in New Iceland. He took the name Jónas J. Jónasson in the west.
Unmarried and childless.
He grew up in his father’s house, the son of Jóhannes Jónasson and Halla Jónasdóttir. Jóhannes was felled in 1904. After his death, the widow moved with her children to land in the Víðir-Sandy Hills Settlement. She died in 1929. They called the farm Jaðar and it became a model success.
