Kristjan Magnusson was born in S. Þingeyjarsýsla on Oct. 28, 1878. He died on July 27, 1946. He was known as C. M. Gislason in the west.
Spouse: Sept. 9, 1896 Jóhanna Jóhannesdóttir (Peterson) b. in Skagafjarðarsýsla in 1874. Peterson is the name taken by her father in the west. She died on June 27, 1952 in Hennepin County, Minnesota.

Kristján emigrated west with his parents in 1873. They spent the first years in Wisconsin before moving to the Lincoln County Settlement in Minnesota. Jóhanna emigrated west with her parents in 1882. A lawyer, Kristján graduated from the University of Minnesota, and opened his Law Office in 1894 above the Icelandic Coop in Minneota. He was president of the Minneota School Board and was a partner with Bjorn B. Gislason in the Globe Land and Loan Co. He and his wife lived in Ivanhoe, Minnesota and later in Minneapolis.
