Jón Jósefsson was born in N. Múlasýsla in 1851. He died in Ballard, Washington on November 26, 1916.
Spouse: Ingibjörg Arngrímsdóttir b. in N. Múlasýsla in 1865. She took the last Emma Anderson in the west. She was the sister of Ólafur Guðjón Arngrímsson who lived in Minneota.

Jón emigrated west to Ontario, Canada in 1874 and was there for some time. He moved to Wisconsin and later to Minnesota. Ingibjörg emigrated west to Minnesota, Minnesota with her siblings in 1879. She and Jón began farming in Lyon County and lived there until 1898 when they moved west to Ballard, Washington. Jón was a charter member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Minneota.
