Þorsteinn Oddsson
Þorsteinn Oddsson was born in Reykjahverfi in S. Þingeyjarsýsla on December 6, 1864. He died in Los Angeles on August 17, 1934.

They emigrated west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1888 and settled in Selkirk. Travelling with them were Þorsteinn’s brother Gunnlaugur and his wife, and Rakel’s sister Gudný. Þorsteinn worked in carpentry and also ran his own shop in Selkirk from 1890-1901. They moved to Winnipeg in 1901 and lived there until moving to Los Angeles after a few years.
