Guðrún Erlendsdóttir was born in the Westmann Islands (Vestmannaeyjar) on July 8, 1850, d. September 4, 1887 in Spanish Fork.
Spouse: 1) Guðmundur Erlendsson d. June 20, 1875 in Vestmannaeyjar 2) Eyjólfur Eiríksson b. in Rangárvallasýsla on February 26, 1854, d. August 21, 1908. He was known as Eyjolfur Erickson in Utah.
Children: With Guðmundur: 1. Vigfús b. July 14, 1868, d. March 17, 1927 in Spanish Fork. With Eyjólfur: 1. Karl Jón b. July 24, 1879, d. December 24, 1924 2. Valgerður b. September 5, 1881, died in 1882 in Iowa.
Guðrún emigrated west to Spanish Fork, Utah in 1883, while Eyjólfur emigrated a year earlier with Valgerður. Karl Jón emigrated there in the care of friends in 1881. Guðrún came to the west but the illnesses that afflicted her in Iceland worsened and she never recovered.
