Vigfús Guðmundsson was born on July 14, 1868 in the Westmann Islands (Vestmannaeyjar). He died on March 17, 1927 in Spanish Fork, Utah. He was known as Foosie Erickson in the west.
Spouse: 1) October 11, 1890 Sigríður Vigfúsdóttir b. August 2, 1857 in Rangárvallasýsla, d. August 25, 1920. 2) December 30, 1921 Guðrún Ragnhildur Jónsdóttir b. February 9, 1881 in Reykjavík, d. March 10, 1931.
Children: He had nine children with Sigríður, none survived. They adopted two children, Frank Russell b. August 15, 1903, d. January 4, 1919. No information about the other. With Guðrún: 1. Feola b. October 3, 1922, d. August 5, 1992.
Vigfús emigrated to Spanish Fork in Utah in 1886. He bought land and became a successful farmer.
