Þórdís Þorbjörnsdóttir was born on April 18, 1836 in Rangárvallasýsla. She died on March 28, 1928 in Ivins, Idaho. She was known as Thorg Ingimundson in Utah.

Jón took up the Mormon faith on April 25l, 1886 and, in May, emigrated west to Utah with Margrét, Guðrúnu, and Ingimundur. Þórdís emigrated in the fall of the same year with the other children. They settled in Spanish Fork where Jón worked as a carpenter.
