Þorbjörg Finnbogadóttir was born on July 13, 1883 in Húnavatnssýsla. She died in Manitoba on January 28, 1942.
Spouse: September 21, 1902 Marteinn Magnússon b. in Icelandic River in New Iceland on September 10 1878. He took the last name Jónasson in the west. He died on April 16, 1953.
Children: 1. Florence b. September 19, 1907.
Þorbjörg emigrated west with her parents, Finnbogi Finnbogason and Agnes Jónatansdóttir, in 1883. Marteinn grew up in the Icelandic River Settlement, worked at a shop in Hnausa, but then bought land in the Víðir-and-Sandy Hill Settlement, moving there in 1909. They sold the land in 1919 and moved to Árborg. They last moved to the Hnausa Settlement and lived at Finnbogastaðir.
