Matthildur Þorvarðardóttir was born in E. Skaftafellssýsla on August 30, 1873, d. at the Betel care center in Gimli on May 10, 1969.
Spouse: October 27, 1897 Bjarni Sveinsson born in W. Skaftafellssýsla on May 5, 1876. He died in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1962.

They emigrated west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1903 and lived there for 12 years. They moved to the Ísafold Settlement and lived there until 1923 when they moved to Keewatin, Ontario. In 1960, Bjarni moved west to the Pacific coast while Matthildur moved to Winnipeg.
