Ragnheiður Ósk Sigurðardóttir was born in 1856 in Skagafjarðarsýslua. She died in the Brown Settlement in Manitoba in 1923.

They emigrated west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1887 and went south directly to the Akra Settlement in N. Dakota where Jóhannes, Ólafur’s brother, had taken land. The brothers worked together for the next years, but then moved to the Brown Settlement in 1899 and lived there the rest of their days.
