Margrét Ingibjörg Þorsteinsdóttir was born in Iceland in 1882. She died in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1972.
Spouse: January 18, 1912 Stefán Arngrímsson b. in S. Múlasýsla on March 2, 1878. He died in Vancouver in 1948.
Children: 1. Stefán Pétur b. January 10, 1920 2. Þórhallur Marvin b. November 25, 1928. One western source says the children were adopted, another says they were the couple’s children. Beatrice Violet Bergson was their foster daughter, Margrét’s niece.
Margrét came west to N. Dakota with her parents in 1883. They moved to Manitoba in 1893 and then to the Vatnabyggð Settlement in Saskatchewan in 1911. Stefán moved west to the United States with his parents, Arngrímur Arngrímsson and Þorbjörg Magnúsdóttir in 1882. They settled in Garðarbyggð in N. Dakota. From there, Stefán moved in 1905 to Vatnabyggð in Saskatchewan and took land north of Mozart.
