Guðrún Árnadóttir was born on August 6, 1846 in Eyjafjarðarsýsla. She died on March 5, 1920 in Saskatchewan.
Spouse: Tómas Jóhannsson b. in Eyjafjarðarsýsla on July 22, 1838, d. September 15, 1915 in Saskatchewan.

They came west in 1888 and travelled to N. Dakota. They bought land in the southern part of the Garðar Settlement and moved there in 1889. They lived there for seven years, sold it, and Tómas built a house near the village of Garðar where they lived until the spring of 1889. From there they moved north to the Brown Settlement in Manitoba and took land near Morden.
