Björg Ólafsdóttir was born in Skagafjarðarsýsla on November 24, 1849. She died on February 9, 1931 in N. Dakota.
Spouse: 1) Ólafur Jónsson, d. 1882 2) 1885 Jóhannes Jónasson was born on April 30, 1851 in Skagafjarðarsýsla. He died in N. Dakota on July 31, 1934.

Björg was a widow when she came west with her son Arnljótur in 1883. Her half-brother Sigurjón Eiríksson travelled with them. Jóhannes came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1876. He spent the first winter in New Iceland, but spent the next years working here and there in Manitoba. He moved south to N. Dakota in 1880 and homesteaded in the Pembina Hills, but later moved to the Víkur Settlement.
