Herdís Ingimundardóttir was born on September 28, 1865 in Dalasýsla.
Spouse: June 1, 1895 Guðjón Jónsson born in Strandasýsla on July 30, 1866, d. in Garðar June 4, 1900.
Children: 1. Magnús 2. Guðrún Margrét 3. Jónína Ingibjörg (Emma) 4. Henrietta Elínborg (Ella).
Herdís came west to N. Dakota in 1893 and lived there with Guðjón until 1900, but then moved to land in the Brown Settlement in Manitoba. Guðjón came west in 1885 to N. Dakota with his mother, Guðrún Magnúsdóttir, and siblings Oddur and Elísabet. They all settled in Garðar. Herdís’ mother, Guðný Guðnadóttir, came west before the turn of the century and lived with her daughter in the Brown Settlement. Herdís sold her land after 26 years, moved north to Lake Manitoba, and ended up in Lundar.
