Anna Björnsdóttir was born on July 30, 1859 in Strandasýsla. She died in Garðar on May 24, 1943.

Kristján came west across the sea to Ontario, Canada in 1878 and lived there one year. Life’s road led him to Minneota, Minnesota and from there to the Garðar Settlement in N. Dakota in 1880. Anna came west in 1885. They lived in the Settlement the rest of their lives.
