Sigríður Pétursdóttir was born in N. Múlasýsla on December 31, 1841. She died in the Lundar Settlement in Manitoba on January 6, 1916.
Spouse: 1) Þorfinnur Jónsson b. 1838 in N. Múlasýslb, d. in Iceland in 1874. 2) March 21, 1881 Gísli Jónsson b. 1848, in N. Múlasýsla, d. in Winnipeg May 12, 1908. He took the last name Johnson in the west.
Children: With Þorfinnur: 1. Sigurður b. 1865 2. Guðrún Málfríður (Fríða, Freda) b. November 6, 1869 3. Sigurbjörn (Barney Finnsson) b. February 22, 1872, d. May 4, 1959. With Gísli: 1. Gíslína Guðfinna b. July 5, 1882 2. Elín Margrét b. December 15, 1883 3. Sigríður Una b. February 24, 1887, died in childhood.
Sigríður was a widow when she came west with Guðrún in 1876. She moved to New Iceland and lived in the Fljóts Settlement. She moved to Winnipeg about 1880 and lived there after.
