Sigbjörn and Vilborg came west 1882 and Metúsalem traveled with them. Elín was fostered by Sigfinnur Pétursson at Svínabakka and came west with her family in 1878. Kristján came west with his family in 1893. Sigbjörn settled in Swede Prairie Township in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota.
