Margrét Bergsveinsdóttir was born on August 9, 1876 in Dalasýsla. She died on July 17, 1950 in Saskatchewan.
Spouse: December 2, 1899 Valdimar Jónsson b. May 14, 1874 at Hofsstaðir in S. Þingeyjarsýsla. He died in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) on May 3, 1968. He took the name Waldimar Johnson in the west.

Margrét came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba with her parents in 1888. Valdimar emigrated there in 1893, travelling with his sister Þóra, a 23-year old widow, and her son, Jón Aðalstein Ásmundsson. Valdimar and Margrét lived in Winnipeg until 1906, moved west to the Lakes Settlement in Saskatchewan, and settled south of Wynyard.
