Narfi Halldórsson was born in Árnessýsla in 1841. He died on March 31, 1911 in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan.
Spouse: Ástríður Árnadóttir b. 1824 in Borgarfjarðarsýsla. She died in Saskatchewan on August 6, 1902.
Children: Guðbrandur b. 1868.
They came west to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1877 and lived there a short time. They moved to N. Dakota where Sigþrúður Guðbrandsdóttir lived with her husband, Ólafur Guðmundssoni. Sigþrúður was Ástríður’s daughter from her first marriage. They moved back to Winnipeg, but only stayed there a short time because in the spring of 1886, they moved to the Þingvalla Settlement in Saskatchewan. They moved from there in 1899 to the Lakes Settlement in Saskatchewan and took land in the Foam Lake Settlement.
