Egill was the son of Jóhannn Ingjaldsson and Björg Erlendsdóttir, early settlers in the Árnes Settlement. Sigríður was the daughter of Jón Jónsson and his first wife Guðfinna. Sigríður cam west with her father and his second wife, Arndís Guðmundsdóttir, and siblings. They moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1903 and from there to the Argyle Settlement. They later moved to Elfros in the Lakes Settlement (Vatnabyggð) in Saskatchewan. Egill and Sigríður lived there first, but then moved in 1927 to Vallar. Birthdate information needed.
